Sian is joining Money Ready from the London based prison resettlement charity, Switchback, where she has been CEO since October 2022. In her previous role at Toynbee Hall, she led strategy, research and policy on financial health and inclusion, working with government, regulators and banks. She is also Chair at the think tank Positive Money, Chair of the Financial Inclusion Commission and a Trustee at the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute.
Rhodri Mason, Chair of Money Ready, said: “The Board was impressed by Sian’s vision, experience and commitment to our mission, as well as her warm and inclusive leadership style. She has long been one of the UK’s most respected voices on financial inclusion and brings decades of leadership and policy influence. We believe she is the right person to lead Money Ready through its next chapter and to build on the strong foundations we have created.”
Sian said: “Everyone should have the knowledge and confidence to manage their money, whatever their circumstances. Money Ready’s work is a key part of tackling poverty, and the difference it makes to individuals, families and communities is real. I am passionate about financial inclusion and about the kind of systemic change that makes that possible. I am honoured to be joining as Chief Executive and look forward to getting started in January.”
Until Sian joins, the Senior Leadership Team will continue to oversee the organisation jointly, with support from the Board.
