Bnk It! Teams Raise Over £13,000 for Financial Education

For the past two years, Money Ready (formerly MyBnk) has run an annual corporate competition, Bnk It!, bringing teams together to compete in raising the most for the charity through creative and innovative fundraising.

Our latest competition saw corporate partner Barings beat ten other teams to be crowned winners in March 2025, raising an impressive £5,318.

The champions made the most of their seed money, selling donuts at a marked-up price and hosting an office games night with a quiz, complete with entry fees, incentives to take part, and fun prizes for the winners. They were mentored by a member of Bnk It!’s previous victorious team, Foresters, which added extra insight and inspiration.

11 teams took on the challenge this year to raise the most, embracing the team building, creativity and learning that fundraising inspires. Supported by their expert mentors and encouraged by colleagues, the teams raised an incredible total of £13,920 for Money Ready.

We celebrated the completion of the challenge at a fantastic event hosted by our corporate partner Quilter, with representatives from every Bnk It! team and their mentors in attendance. Money Ready’s Deputy CEO, Claire Quigley, proudly presented Barings with the winner’s trophy, a wonderful moment to recognise and celebrate their success.

Speaking at the celebration event, Claire said:

“At Money Ready, we believe the language of money is a language for life. It’s inspiring to see so many professionals come together through Bnk It! to support our mission. Every pound raised helps us reach more young people and adults across the country, empowering them to see money not as a source of stress, but as a tool for independence, stability, and opportunity.”

The highlight of the evening was hearing from Patrick, a young person who has attended Money Ready’s financial education workshops. He spoke candidly about his experience and the positive impact the course had on his confidence and ability to manage his money effectively.

Patrick’s presence reminded us all why fundraising for financial literacy matters. Thank you to all the participants who took part in Bnk It! 2025 – your efforts translate directly into real change for young people across the UK. Thanks to your incredible fundraising, we can reach more young people with valuable money management skills they need to build brighter, more financially secure futures – and move closer to our vision of creating a financially fluent population.
