Opportunities to inspire and engage your employees

At Money Ready we work closely with our partners to offer volunteering that is meaningful and makes a difference. We get to know you and create a calendar of volunteering opportunities which align with your organisations social responsibility goals.

We understand time is precious and work closely with our partners to give the best experience to employees who choose to use their volunteering day to support our mission. By volunteering for a day, your employees get to know us better which brings positive lasting benefits to our ongoing partnership.

Reasons employees want to volunteer with Money Ready

Corporate volunteers give their time, energy and expertise to bring the language of money to life. Their support helps our learners navigate their money with confidence, no matter where they start.

I feel there is a gap in school education where this should be taught, so good to be able to plug that gap. Essential life skills that everyone should have a basic understanding of. Puts everyone on a level playing field.

Types of Corporate Volunteering

Our Corporate volunteering takes place in various settings with opportunities for engagement both face to face and remote. It is so rewarding and fulfilling for employees to play a part in making a positive difference to the lives of our learners.
  • Leave the world of work for a fun and rewarding day helping our trainers deliver financial education. Guided by our trainers, volunteers will need to be proactive and get stuck into helping learners complete our financial education activities on a range of topics such as wants vs needs, payslips and tax, creating a personal budget, savings accounts. There is also the opportunity for volunteers to share their life experience and knowledge which enhances learning. Volunteering takes place in a variety of settings, from schools to colleges to community spaces.
  • Non-classroom-based opportunities include adding value to our research by taking part in a focus group, giving a much-needed helping hand at events, making a noise at our challenge event cheer points etc.
  • Our most versatile type of volunteering as the majority of opportunities take place virtually and for small amounts of time that can fit into your work schedule.
  • Knowledge transfer whereby Corporate volunteers deliver a training session to Money Ready teams who use that knowledge in their day-to-day teachings or work. The format changes along with the needs of our teams, with opportunities such as delivering a virtual Learning Hour or regional team training. Topics include financial knowledge, such as debt management, pensions etc and workplace skills such as project management, AI in the workplace.

Team-based activities for up to 10. Get stuck in and enjoy the experience of volunteering alongside like-minded colleagues. Whether it is supporting learners or our backend operations, many hands make a huge difference!

It was really an enlightening experience, and I enjoyed being part of it. I learnt some things I didn’t know regarding the scammers, which was great, and it was great to share my experience on some of the topics covered to the group, who were very welcoming and engaging.

Supporting volunteers

Our aim is to enable volunteers to use their knowledge and skills safely, in a way that makes an impact and helps us deliver Financial Education to learners.

Our Corporate volunteer journey is designed so everyone is well equipped to perform their volunteering successfully and feel enabled to make a difference. Volunteers receive all the information they need and can ask questions or have a chat about their volunteering with our team.

Where appropriate to the volunteering activity, we include information about Safeguarding and how to keep everyone safe. If you would like more information on our Safeguarding policy, it can be found here or contact volunteering@moneyready.org
