In May, we hosted a roundtable event in Manchester to explore how money education within financial products could boost financial equality. We brought together policymakers, charities and local stakeholders to discuss:

  • The challenges and costs of not understanding how money works
  • Motivations for the financial services industry to embed financial education within their offerings to address these challenges
  • Barriers to the financial services industry taking this action
  • Ways to help ensure consumers choose to engage with these micro financial education offerings
  • Why strengthening cross-sector collaboration is vital to achieving this

Today we’re sharing our report of the event, highlighting the key discussion themes and actionable takeaways. Whether you’re a financial service provider, a financial education charity, or just wishing you could learn more through your bank, this report is for you.

We want to hear from you
