Do you work with young people?

Are they aware of the real-world costs that can come with online hobbies like gaming, shopping, and social media?

Join us for The Big Money Lesson on Wednesday 5th November at 10am. This FREE, live webinar is designed for school pupils aged 9-13 to help them explore their digital habits; from spending money in games and impulse buying, to spotting advertising and smartphone addictions.

Taking place during Talk Money Week, this 45-minute interactive session forms part of a wider campaign Money Ready will be taking part in throughout the week. We’ll be sharing content across our channels to start conversations about spending habits and encourage young people to explore how their digital hobbies connect to real-world money.

In the Big Money Lesson, our Money Ready trainer will be joined by special guest Dr Ed Southall from Oak National Academy to lead an interactive and action-packed session. Our expert facilitators will cover the following:

  • Making good money choices online
  • In-game spending and gambling features in gaming
  • The power of advertising
  • Social media influence
  • Building healthy habits online

The Big Money Lesson is designed for school pupils aged 9-13 (approximately) and is aimed at the following school years:

  • England & Wales: Year 5-8
  • Scotland: P6-P7, S1-S2
  • Northern Ireland: P6-P7, Year 8-9

Whole classes or groups as well as individuals are welcome to tune into the webinar.

Help your pupils become savvy, informed digital citizens — aware of how their online habits can impact their wellbeing and their wallets.
